Èpeus was engaged to provide
Assurance Services specifically due diligence audits to
assess and evaluate a drilling rig owner, the
capabilities and overall value of its land rigs, the
internal Chinese market the owner operated in and the
anticipated ability of the firm to operate in an
international context with different specifications and
expectations in comparison to its national operations.
The due diligence audits provided
our investment bank client with independent project
assurance appraisal and a more clealy-defined assessment
of the Chinese internal drilling market. Additionally
the audits determined the viability of the expanded
international operations and general risks associated
with the industry.

Project: Rig Upgrade and Reactivation
Project Assurance and Advisory
Our client had purchased an
offshore drilling tender barge requiring repairs and
reactivation. The contract agreement held the previous
owner responsible for all repairs and reactivation
tasks, which were to be performed in a Singapore
shipyard. After all the repair and reactivation work was
completed, our client would operate the barge.
Èpeus was hired to provide
independent project auditing and monitoring on all
repair and reactivation work on-site in Singapore. In
addition to protecting our clients interests on the
project, the audits and monitoring activities were able
to provide early notification of potential project
delays and independent verification concerning actual
project progress and milestone achievements.
